Anambra Central re-run poll: Ekwunife denies planning to dump PDP for APC

Senator Uche Ekwunife speaking to Anambra Central senatorial zone, has expressed that she stays in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in opposition to hints in a few quarters that she had deserted to the All Progressives Congress, APC.

A proclamation she marked likewise noted that she was in the race to challenge the March 2016 survey in the area.

On her disqualification adventure, she said "no state section of the PDP conducts the party primaries. It is the matter of the national leadership of our awesome party.

"There were five-member panel from the national secretariat that led the National Assembly primaries in Anambra State. We all experienced the same process; so why single just me out.

"I have taken everything in accordance with some basic honesty. If God that sent me there needs me to be there once more, I'll be there, yet I unequivocally trust that the issue of disqualification being spread all over is the handiwork of my rival in All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, and Chief Victor Umeh.

"Umeh fears election and he supposes the main way he can fix me is through coercion. No court can disqualify some person in view of party primaries. No one disqualified me, no one has disqualified PDP. The court has requested crisp election and not re-run and l have begun my campaign.

"I am prepared for the election. I am in the race to challenge and win. No measure of extortion will stop me in light of the fact that God severely dislikes foul play. Umeh ought to allow me to sit unbothered in light of the fact that I am not his problem.

"His problem is the electorate, a more noteworthy rate of whom won't vote in favor of him in the forthcoming new poll."

Ekwunife presumed that she was certain that she would again rise as PDP's banner carrier for the election.
