AMAC plans to demolish over 400 shops in Mechanic Village, traders claim

Traders at the prominent car save parts market have raised the caution over arrangements by the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) to devastate more than 400 shops in Kugbo Mechanic, Nyanya in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory. In light of this, the Spare parts brokers made up of Automobile/Technicians Motor extra parts and Mechanic Unions, have filed a lawful activity in court against an Abuja designer, Mass Ring Engineering, to stay activity on decimation of the shops there. The Vice Chairman of the Spare-parts Union, Mr. Patrick Chimezie, who uncovered this to The Guardian, denied always knowing the designers, saying they designated the town to two unions in 1999. He said the moves by AMAC to obliterate Kugbo Mechanic Village after numerous years of designation to them with an approved arrangement to create it was unfair for them to pivot to annihilate the multi-millions ventures.
