The governor on April 1 suspended the state’s commissioner for works, Mr Kelvin Wachukwu with immediate effect.

This was made known in a statement issued on Friday by the governor’s special assistant on electronic media, Simeon Nwakaudu, a copy obtained by Naij.com.

The statement which informed that the suspension is with  immediate effect did not give any reason for the governor’s decision.

But, it is believed that the works commissioner’s suspension might not not be unconnected with the recent inspection the governor embarked on to ascertain the progress of ongoing projects in the state.

This is not the first time that Governor Wike had suspended his appointee and recalled them.
